During your training, you will support all processes related to the planning and organization of domestic and international freight transport. You will advise customers on suitable modes of transport and packaging and prepare cost estimates and supporting documents. You will learn about measures for the commercial management and oversight of freight forwarding processes, as well as the selection criteria and the process for securing appropriate insurance coverage. You will interact with customers, drivers, and colleagues.
Apprenticeship as a machine and plant operator (m/f/d)
During your apprenticeship, you’ll work in the areas of roll forming, powder coating, and special machining. You’ll learn how to manage the flow of materials for our modern production facilities, as well as quality assurance measures during production. The allocation and handling of raw materials, consumables, and auxiliary materials are part of the training curriculum, as is the planning and preparation of work processes. How does the application process work at ROMA?
To apply to ROMA, we need a cover letter, your most recent school report and your CV. Once we have received your application, we will review it and coordinate with the relevant departments.
If we like your application, we will invite you to a personal interview. The personal interview will last approx. 30 minutes. We want to get to know you personally and gain a first impression.
If it suits both sides, we will invite you to a taster day, where you will get to know the working environment and future colleagues. In a final interview, we can clarify any open questions. Then welcome to the ROMA family!

Where and when do I go to vocational school?
Where and when you attend vocational school depends on the trade you’ll be learning. Some apprentices attend school only one day a week, while others have block classes.
How long does the training take and how much do you earn?
The apprenticeship usually lasts 3 years, with the exception of mechatronics technicians, for example, where the standard training period is 3.5 years.
You will receive over 1,000 euros per month in your first year of training.
What else does ROMA offer?
