ROMA TERMO 2 for renovating existing roller shutter boxes

Did you know that replacing windows and Roller Shutters as part of a renovation can help improve a building’s energy efficiency? Even in the summer, exterior privacy and sun protection help limit the heating up of rooms. At the same time, modern sun protection allows for the use of natural light as needed.

ROMA TERMO 2 is the Renovation Roller Shutter with outstanding thermal insulation properties* and is ideal for renovation or energy-efficient retrofitting. Even if your windows aren’t being replaced, retrofitting these Roller Shutters can help improve thermal insulation around the windows.

* Documentation: Test reports for TERMO 2 are available in the download section

The integrated insect screen from ROMA is integrated in the box and offers the following advantages:

• Can be raised if required (e.g. window cleaning) and is optimally protected from the weather in the box

• Can be retrofitted at any time (without element removal)

• Convenient inching operation

• Pull cord can be moved sideways

• No annoying sash elements

• No cumbersome unhinging and stowing away in winter

ALUMINO protect are extra-stable Roller Shutter Profiles for even more security. These profiles offer good burglar resistance, but do not comply with the security classes according to DIN EN 1627, which is why no subsidies are available for them.

Control your Roller Shutters as intuitively as your lighting - with elegant wall switches or the handy ROMA radio control. The bidirectional touch display control Nina Timer io and the Chronis io radio timer enable automated operation. It gets even smarter with the TaHoma app, Loxone or Somfy Smart Home: control and program your sun shading conveniently via smartphone or tablet - even when you're on the move.

Motorized Roller Shutters offer convenience, but they cannot be operated without electricity. With a battery backup, they remain operational even during a power outage—for up to ten operating cycles within 24 hours. As soon as mains power is restored, the battery recharges automatically. This ensures light and security at all times.

Alternatively, you can choose a motor with an emergency hand crank. This allows you to operate the Roller Shutters manually using the emergency hand crank in an emergency or during a power outage.

TERMO 2 is optionally available with solar operation. The solar package is available for TERMO 2.F and TERMO 2.R. This enables convenient motor operation, even without complex electrical installations and torn-up walls. The solar panel is simply attached to the external facade.
