zipSCREEN.2 (RONDO Base) is an aluminum awning system with a round cassette design. It is suitable for visible installation in the window reveal, on the window, or on the wall. The zipSCREENs have a surface area of up to 18 m², making them ideal for large windows and glass surfaces, and provide reliable shading.
These front-mounted textile screens improve indoor climate, reduce solar radiation by up to 75%, and effectively block outside views without significantly reducing natural light. Wind resistance up to 120 km/h, along with motorized, remote, and app control, ensure high comfort and maximum functionality.

Effective protection against flying insects (no sun protection effect)
For the visible aluminum components of Roller Shutters, External Venetian Blinds, and Textile Screens, a wide selection of colors is available in high-quality, durable finishes. Customize the colors of your (visible) boxes, guide rails, end bars, end strips, or slats exactly as you wish. The “matte, fine-textured, highly weather-resistant” finish is already standard at ROMA and combines a modern matte design with low susceptibility to dirt and scratches. A “matte, smooth” finish is also available as an option.

The ROMA zipSCREEN.2 with insect screen fabric effectively keeps flying pests away and ensures undisturbed summer evenings. The wide brush and an additional seal close the gaps for flying insects, even at the lower end of the system.

The integrated glass fall protection combines maximum safety with stylish design, including edge protection in the matching color. It offers the following advantages:

Motors with blind protection function, except for the motors for battery backup and solar operation
Motorized Textile Screens are convenient, but they won’t move without a power supply! But no one wants to be trapped indoors during a power outage. With the help of battery backup for Textile Screens, ten movement cycles are possible within 24 hours even without mains power, and the battery recharges automatically once power is restored.
Alternatively, you can choose a motor with an emergency hand crank. This allows the zipSCREEN.2 to be operated manually using the emergency hand crank in an emergency or during a power outage.

Thanks to the new generation of solar components with powerful batteries and solar modules, complex electrical installations are no longer necessary.
