Open day at ROMA - street food in the sun protection factory
Exclusive production tour, colorful program for young and old and a street food festival: On Sunday, May 22, the Burgau-based company ROMA will open its factory gates in the industrial area in Ostpreußenstraße from 10 am to 5 pm. To mark the completion of the fourth plant and the park at the site, there will be a festival for young and old, to which everyone is welcome.
No celebrations were possible for the company's 40th anniversary in 2020. This is now being made up for with a varied program. Whether it's tours of all the plants, a presentation of ROMA logistics, a children's area, a charity marathon and much more - the whole family can look forward to many attractions on the extensive premises of the well-known manufacturer of Roller Shutters, External Venetian Blinds and Textile Screens.
There will also be insights into one of the most modern production facilities for sun protection systems. A lot has happened on the ROMA factory premises since the last open day in 2010 to mark the 30th anniversary. Visitors can walk along walkways through the four factory halls. You can also marvel at Plant 4 for add-on systems, which will be completed in summer 2021 with 10,000 square meters of production and storage space, as well as the new park.
Varied food and drink
There is guaranteed to be something for every taste on the large street food mile on the site. The many food trucks invite you on a journey of good taste around the world and offer a variety of specialties, such as burgers, pulled pork, bratwurst sandwiches, spiral potatoes, langos, nachos, Maultaschen, currywurst, vegan food, Asian specialties, waffles, crêpes and much more. Coffee, cake and ice cream are of course also available in the newly created park.
Entertainment is also provided. There is a stage with a band as well as art and music in the park. Anyone interested in products, job vacancies or social aid projects will also find what they are looking for. The company from the region is looking forward to welcoming ROMA employees, families and neighbors as well as all interested people from the region.
Bus shuttle set up

There is also a shuttle service to and from the parking lots of the Burgau companies Lidl and BSB in Siemensstraße and Aldi in Robert-Bosch-Straße. The buses will run every eight minutes between the parking lots and the main entrance to ROMA. Visitors should pay attention to the signposts and bus stop signs.
Those who prefer to come without a car can get on at the bus stops Therapiezentrum, Oberknöringen, Realschule Burgau, Eisstadion and Stellbrink. A shuttle bus service is also available here every quarter of an hour. There will also be a sufficient number of bicycle parking spaces on the ROMA company premises.
