Insights into modern sun shading production at ROMA
Thousands of visitors flocked to ROMA's large premises on the last Sunday in May to take a closer look at modern sun shading production.
On Sunday, May 22, an open day was held for the first time in 12 years in sunny early summer weather at the sun shading manufacturer ROMA in Burgau. Almost 15,000 visitors were able to gain an insight into the administration and all four plants at the Burgau site. This included the new Plant 4, which was completed in 2021 along with a green park for employees. The modern production of Roller Shutters, External Venetian Blinds, Textile Screens and Garage Doors could be observed via visitor walkways. Screens at viewpoints showed the individual work steps in detail.
There was plenty on offer for visitors of all ages. Everyone had fun in the children's area and at the impressive ROMA Logistik truck performance show. The little ones were able to let off steam on the ninja course, bouncy castle, swings and trampoline and obtain a forklift driver's license. The musical and artistic entertainment also delighted the audience.
Street food festival at ROMA
The unique street food mile along the railroad line offered visitors a chance to fortify themselves. A total of 20 food trucks and snack carts offered culinary specialties for every taste. And for those who still hadn't had enough, there was coffee and cake in the park. After all, the large area in and around the plants had already been covered many kilometers in bright sunshine.
The open day was a very good opportunity for ROMA to attract attention as an employer in the region. The two organizations Auxilium e.V. and Hinsehen & Helfen e.V. were also represented with a stand. The factory tours were accompanied by a major fundraising marathon to benefit the aid projects of these organizations. ROMA would like to thank all the helpers, participating companies and visitors for a successful day.
