Red Dot Award for ROMA CDL: New Comfort & Design slat honored
External Venetian Blinds with excellent sun protection and light control functions and a linear, closed look at the same time: this is made possible by the new Comfort and Design slat from ROMA, CDL for short.
This world first for External Venetian Blinds sets itself apart from all conventional systems in terms of design and function. The flat, linear slat shape of the ROMA CDL blends particularly harmoniously into modern buildings of all shapes and sizes and sets the new standard for design and function in external Venetian blinds. With the Red Dot Award 2017 for Product Design, this high standard has now also been recognized by one of the world's best-known design awards.
Attracts glances. Keeps glances away.
When closed, the eccentric punching of the slats and the high slat overlap create an elegant, two-dimensional still image. This linear design fits in perfectly with today's architectural language - and also ensures a high level of comfort: when the slats are closed, the product design and the concealed punched holes prevent direct light from entering over the entire surface.
The specially designed guide rails also prevent direct light from entering at the sides, thus increasing living comfort. At the same time, residents benefit from more privacy thanks to the high level of opacity.
Developed for special advantages.
A major advantage of ROMA External Venetian Blinds with CDL is the significantly increased wind stability. This results from the stable guidance of the slat bolts and the special carriage in the rails. The new guide rails for the ROMA Comfort and Design slats have two separate running chambers for this purpose. The guide rail is also visually appealing, as the clip-on rail is screwed on concealed after the base rail has been fixed so that no disruptive cover caps are required.
Simple planning and more convenience.
Planning elements with the ROMA CDL is simple as usual. CDL can be used in the existing ROMA MODULO external venetian blind systems and in the PURO 2 add-on system and does not affect the overall planning. The ROMA CDL is also suitable for large window areas up to 4000 mm wide and 4500 mm high.
A special highlight is the integrated anti-lift device. In the event of an attempted break-in, the roller carriage wedges itself into the guide rail and makes it more difficult to push the blind up.
In future, the ROMA CDL will feature a completely new, specially developed reversing gear. It allows the slat tilt to be adjusted in very fine increments, diagonal pull to be quickly eliminated and the draw cord to be changed in just a few simple steps and without dismantling the blind.
