Tailor-made sun shading for mullion-transom façades with the ROMA External Venetian Blinds F50

With the new External Venetian Blinds F50, ROMA presents a sun shading solution that has been specially developed to meet the requirements of modern mullion and transom façades. The innovative system is based on the successful zipSCREEN F50 and combines discreet architecture with technical precision. The narrow guide rails, which are only 50 mm wide, allow the External Venetian Blinds to be integrated flush into the façade - for a calm appearance without visible fixing elements.

A newly designed robust steel spigot connects the blind and track to form a self-supporting system. Additional fixing to the mullion-transom façade is therefore no longer necessary. This saves material, reduces installation work and opens up new design possibilities for continuous row systems. The sophisticated design of the ROMA F50 system therefore enables particularly simple and efficient installation on the mullion-transom façade, even for large-scale façade projects.

What is a mullion and transom façade?

A mullion and transom façade is a construction method for large-scale glass façades in which vertical mullions and horizontal transoms form a load-bearing grid. Glass or façade elements are inserted into this support system. The advantages of the mullion-transom construction lie in its delicate appearance, high transparency and design flexibility. Mullion-transom façade systems are often used in office buildings, public facilities and architecturally sophisticated properties.

Installation of the mullion-transom façade: precision and system compatibility
