When the sun shading merges with the mullion-transom façade: ROMA zipSCREEN F50

Textile Screens completely redefine privacy and sun protection. ROMA developed the zipSCREEN Front-Mounted Textile Screens more than a decade ago. The name zipSCREEN - now in its second generation (zipSCREEN.2) - has almost become a generic term for Textile Screens. Since 2020, the newly developed PURO 2.XR-zip has supplemented the ROMA Textile Screens with the top-mounted system - suitable for PURO 2 Top-Mounted Roller Shutters and External Venetian Blinds. And now ROMA is introducing the zipSCREEN F50 solution for façades.

With the zipSCREEN F50 from ROMA, textile sun shading can be easily and conveniently integrated into a planned mullion and transom façade. The "F" in F50 stands for "façade". The number "50" stands for the very common 50 mm face width of the mullions. The zipSCREEN F50 with its 50 mm wide single and double guide rails is of course ideal for these 50 mm mullions. But it also cuts a more than fine figure with 60 mm posts.

In addition, a new fastening solution has been developed for F50, which not only simplifies installation but also planning considerably. A connection is screwed onto each of the individual stud bolts. The guide rail is then slid over these connections and fixed in place. The guide rail completely covers the connections and stands up to the cover shell - and thus becomes a flush extension of the mullion.

Above all, the new zipSCREEN F50 Façade Textile Screens will quickly impress visually. The design reflects all the experience that ROMA has gained with two generations of zipSCREEN. Thanks to its coordinated and minimalist look, the new zipSCREEN F50 fits perfectly with the vast majority of mullion and transom façade types, regardless of the manufacturer. The almost seamless transition from the façade system to the sun shading system creates a homogeneous and calm appearance, even when the blind is open. This makes it possible to create elegant and modern façade designs.

With the PURO 2.XR-zip add-on system, the zipSCREEN.2 Front-Mounted Textile Screens and the zipSCREEN F50, ROMA now offers textile sun shading for almost any installation situation in front of the window. The zipSCREEN F50 was also installed in all elements of the front row in ROMA's newly built Plant 4 in Burgau and perfectly integrated into the mullion and transom façade. In 2022, it also received the Red Dot Award for Product Design.
