ROMA products are eligible for BAFA subsidies
Modern external solar shading makes a significant contribution to keeping the energy consumption of a house low in winter and summer. This has also been recognized by the German government, which aims to achieve a climate-neutral building stock by 2030 and has restructured the energy-related building subsidies accordingly. This means that automatic sun shading from ROMA is also eligible for funding.
With the new federal subsidy for efficient buildings (BEG) set up in 2021, building owners can apply to the BAFA (Federal Office of Economics and Export Control) for subsidies of 20% (update: from 15.08.2022 reduction to 15% subsidy) for summer heat insulation using external sun shading. Since July 1, 2021, the KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) has also been granting its promotional loans as part of the new BEG individual measures. These refurbishment measures are eligible for funding from an investment sum of 2,000 euros (expenditure is limited to 60,000 euros per residential unit) on existing buildings within Germany, i.e. buildings for which the building application or notification of start of construction was submitted at least five years ago at the time of application. The application for individual measures on the building envelope also requires the involvement of an energy efficiency expert.
Funding is available for the replacement or first-time installation of external sun protection devices with optimized daylight supply by a specialist company. Motorized Roller Shutters, External Venetian Blinds and Textile Screens from ROMA also meet these requirements, especially as they are movable and therefore optimize the amount of sunlight entering the building as required. Equipping them with a sun sensor can also be an advantage here.
