ROMA External Venetian Blinds: Advantages at a glance

Let as much natural light into your home as possible while still ensuring a comfortable level of privacy— ROMA’s External Venetian Blinds help you achieve this by controlling the flow of natural light. Depending on the sun’s position, you can adjust the amount of natural light entering your living space continuously and to your individual preferences. Bring brightness into your rooms without causing them to overheat, or create comfortable shade without losing the view outside.

Different slat geometries offer flexible design options: Flat external Venetian Blind Slats reflect sunlight to create sharper shadows, while curved slats gently diffuse the light and provide softer shading. Adjusting the slat angle precisely controls the brightness from dark to very light, allowing you to determine at any time how much light floods the interior and which areas it reaches—for optimal glare protection at any time of day.

A wind monitor for External Venetian Blinds is an automatic sensor that continuously measures the current wind speed and triggers the External Venetian Blinds to be raised if a set limit value is exceeded. This reliably protects the slats from damage caused by strong winds, even if nobody is in the building.

External Venetian blinds are an elegant design element in modern architecture, combining contemporary aesthetics with well-thought-out functionality. The delicate slats add visual interest and create a high-quality impression even when the blinds are lowered.

The Comfort & Design slat— ROMA CDL — represents the pinnacle of design: With its clean, flat appearance and concealed perforations, it not only offers optimal privacy and sun protection but also sets a new standard in form and function. Depending on your preferred look, you can also have your exterior venetian blinds fitted with smooth Flat Slats or wavy Triple-Curve Slats.

The color range is equally impressive: ROMA’s colors for External Venetian Blinds include a wide selection of durable, elegant finishes. The Color Harmony collection offers seven standard colors, allowing you to select the system color for the cassette, guide rail, and end bar to match the slat colors and combine them into a harmonious whole. Create harmonious design concepts for a particularly high-quality facade design, or add colorful accents with the ROMA Color Trends.

About ROMA Color Harmony

External Venetian Blinds provide effective glare protection and ensure pleasant lighting conditions in your rooms. ROMA offers you various slat shapes that are tailored to different requirements. Particularly innovative is the daylight technology, where only the upper part of the blind lets in light, while the majority of the slats effectively keep the light out - for optimum glare protection and pleasant brightness at the same time.

Glare protection for your workplace and home

ROMA External Venetian Blinds offer a wide range of options for light control, visibility, and blackout—tailored to your individual needs. Depending on the type of slat, you can achieve different levels of blackout and effectively darken rooms with External Venetian Blinds. We especially recommend the innovative CDL Comfort & Design slat for bedrooms, as it provides the best blackout performance.

ROMA External Venetian Blinds not only provide optimal light control but also effective heat protection in the summer. The high-quality aluminum slats reflect and block up to 75% of the sun’s heat before it reaches the window, thereby preventing the interior from becoming excessively hot.

While significant savings on heating costs are already possible through alternative energy sources, cooling a home often still incurs high costs. With ROMA’s external Venetian blinds, you can effectively prevent your living space from overheating and keep rooms cool without air conditioning. This not only saves you energy costs but also contributes effectively to a more sustainable living concept—without having to compromise on natural light.

Optimally control light while ensuring greater privacy —thanks to intelligent privacy and sun protection with ROMA External Venetian Blinds, you can have both. With ROMA’s daylight technology, when the External Venetian Blinds are lowered, the lower section remains closed, while the upper section allows light and brightness to enter through tilted slats.

This allows you to relax in the comfort of your home, while your smart sun protection solutions ensure the perfect balance between openness and privacy. For fully closed, opaque External Venetian Blinds, we recommend ourROMA CDL Comfort & Design slat. Thanks to specially designed guide rails and an additional gap cover, you’re even better protected from prying eyes.

ROMA External Venetian Blinds offer more than just protection from glare and heat. For example, if you like to let plenty of fresh air into your living space but want to keep insects—such as pesky mosquitoes— out during the warmer months, ROMA External Venetian Blinds with insect screens are the best choice . This transparent screen effectively keeps insects out without darkening the room. At the same time, fresh air can still flow in almost unimpeded.

ROMA’s integrated insect screen can be pulled down quickly and easily and, when not in use, retracts smoothly and conveniently back into the venetian blind box—where it is well protected from the elements and damage. It can be operated independently of the sunshade, so you can ventilate the room sufficiently and sleep with the window open without worry, while insects are kept out.
