Arnold Grasberger, Head of Digitalization at ROMA, talks about the project for the new customer portal in the following interview.

Mr. Grasberger, why was the ROMA Portal developed?

Arnold Grasberger: The ROMA Portal is the digital toolbox for our mostly trade-oriented specialist partners. It provides all the tools needed to make collaboration with ROMA more efficient and effective. In this way, we relieve our customers of routine tasks. Activities on the construction site and in the office merge. In the ROMA portal, the entire range of different ROMA apps and digital tools can be found centrally on one platform, e.g. configurator, all downloads from the specialist partner area, apps, planning and consulting tools, etc.

What was important when setting up the ROMA portal?

Arnold Grasberger: Simple operation, a visually appealing design and the fact that it is suitable for all end devices were particularly important to us. In addition, our high data protection requirements demanded great care. That's why the ROMA portal is operated in ROMA's own data centers. And it was a matter close to our hearts to focus on practical specialist partner requirements and not on theory. We held 150 intensive discussions with customers beforehand so that we could provide them with better digital support. This allows our specialist partners' employees to concentrate on the essentials. We use the feedback we receive to continuously develop the portal.

Who is the ROMA portal aimed at?

Arnold Grasberger: The ROMA Portal is intended for all ROMA specialist partners and their employees. It should also be seen as a supplementary tool for specialist partners who already use the ROMAconnect online product configurator, as all applications can be found in one place. Digitalization is a journey, both for us and for our specialist partners. With the ROMA portal, we have taken an important step in the right direction.

Thanks to Mr. Grasberger for the interview.
